Wikipedia Commons has 10 milionth image upload!

10 milionth upload to one of its Wikipedia projects!

On 15th of April, Wikipedia has celebrated 10 milionth upload of a picture of a bird hut to its online copyright free repository media library of image, video and sound files. The Wikipedia Commons is a library of freely usable media files,  which anyone can volutarily upload and share files with anyone for their commercial and non-commercial use. This website was launched in September 2004 and is a part of Wikipedia Foundation, a non-profit organisation that own Wikipedia and other sister websites.

Wikimedia Commons user Leind was responsible for the 10 millionth upload, which is an image of a waterfowl observation platform near Lipno Lake in the Polish Wdzydzw Landscape Park.
