Skype + Facebook Partnership

Rumours continue to spread about a possible partnership between two internet giants Facebook and Skype.

With over 600 million users, who wouldn’t want to be partners with Facebook?

Rumours persist to run after a report from the Bloomberg site, which states that Facebook has resumed talks with Skype, the renown VoIP telephony service. The partnership will most probably be made up around a video calling service that will be placed on Facebook site. Bloomberg’s information comes from sources close to Facebook and Skype.

In January, Skype estimated that video calls accounted for more than 41% of all calls between Skype users in the second half of last year.

Future video chats with friends on Facebook will be possible if the two popular networking services start to work together. If the partnership is set up, not only would Skype be able to expand its user base but it would also give Facebook a place in the world of video calling. This new partnership could be very profitable as it is currently requested by many Facebook users. As well as this, it could be an interesting alternative to the tool Apple “FaceTime, “and Google’s Gmail.
